Everywhere he went, Jesus upset the status quo. He recklessly challenged the power structures of his age. His words provoked riots. His deeds divided communities. Yet in mainstream America, Jesus is as conventional as Monday Night Football and Christmas. Through this series, we’ll turn to St. Luke’s striking portrait of Jesus to unsettle our contemporary image of a safe, domesticated Savior and discover that perhaps those who follow Jesus must become a little weird as well.
