At Church Without Walls, Berkeley, we aim to express our faith in Jesus in a way that speaks to the diversity that makes Berkeley such a special place. This means that a visit to CWOW requires no previous church experience. You don’t need to know anything about Christianity or the Bible or even what you believe. Come because you’re curious. Come because you’ve moved into the area. Come because a friend invited you. Whatever your background, whatever the reason, you are welcome.

The touchstone of our week is Sunday Celebration. The service takes about an hour and fifteen minutes and consists of a teaching from the Bible, music and singing, announcements and communion. Afterwards, members of the prayer team are available to pray for anything that might be on your mind. Following the service, there is usually something tasty to nosh on while we mingle. Sunday Celebration is a meaningful but casual gathering—no fancy clothes or special knowledge required—and a great place to check us out.

Discover Groups are topical discussion groups consisting of 8-15 people. The groups meet weekly for ten weeks, and are a great place to ask questions, make friends and have fun. New topics are offered quarterly. A full list of past and current topics can be found here.

Finally, we invite you to get to know us by hanging out with us by working and playing with us. Volunteer with us as we help kids learn to read or repair houses for the elderly. Or join us as we explore the many (cheap!) Berkeley eateries via the Sunday Supper Club.
