This Christmastide, as the pandemic dragged on and canceled our best-laid plans, it was easy to fall into fatigue and lose hope. That’s why we were grateful for the wise men who gave gifts to a poor, colonized family because they saw that God was restoring the entire world through their new baby.
Following their example, we brought as gifts our stimulus checks and our own financial reserves to stand in solidarity with those whose very livelihood is threatened by the greatest economic and health crisis of our generation.
Together we gave exactly $50k to 36 different organizations listed below. Additionally, our CWOW Missions Fund has matched with a $10k grant divided between our five highlighted organizations. This Christmas we heard Mary say that God is “lifting up the lowly and filling the hungry with good things” through her baby boy. We are privileged to participate, even in a small way, in what God is doing!
Highlighted Organizations:
Achieve Academy, Oakland
Takataka Plastics, Uganda
