A bruised reed he will not break,
and a smoldering wick he will not snuff out.
In faithfulness he will bring forth justice;
he will not falter or be discouraged
till he establishes justice on earth.

Isaiah 42:3-4

In Advent 2021, we hold onto the unfailing hope found in our gentle Savior, who will not falter or be discouraged till he establishes justice on earth for the poor and the afflicted. We commit to come alongside Jesus and use our resources to support the faithful work of Shalom carried out by many charitable organizations locally and globally. For this Giving Week, we are celebrating and supporting the justice work of the highlighted organizations below.

The Louisiana Parole Project for their work bringing home “10/6 lifers”. The Pars Equality Center for their legal and social service work to aid Afghan refugees. Takataka Plastics for their innovative plastic recycling solutions to create jobs, empower communities, and reduce environmental hazards, and in honor of Sustainable John who inspired us to love God’s creation, The Sunrise Movement.
